Our project initiative is being referred to as New Venture Creation for SMME’s and start-up companies, this programme will be ran in Mokopane, Northam and Thabazimbi in conjunction with TETA (Transport Education Training Authority). SIM Consulting will be running the programme from start to completion assisted by WIKA Group. This programme is targeted at 100% black companies and individuals (as defined in the BBBEE Act and codes of best practice) and will be implemented in all provinces including rural areas and townships. In our first year of this project we are looking to start with 100 beneficiaries.

Success Stories

 

SIM Consulting is currently involved in a development of a trucking company based in Kagiso township since April 2019. At the time of our intervention, the company had an annual turnover of R33M with 40 employees and 24 trucks. For certain reasons the company was being put under notices by the funders, clients and key suppliers threatening the jobs of 40 employees. From our interventions already, in a space of 3 months, those jobs have been saved and a new client (SAB) have been secured, suggesting new employment opportunities of about 10 drivers.
